Accessibility
Medical information is only useful if people can read it. This site is designed and tested against WCAG 2.2 AA principles, and we treat any barrier reported to us as a defect.
Measures in place
- Semantic landmarks and a single, logical heading order on every page.
- A skip link to the main content, hidden until it receives keyboard focus.
- Full keyboard operation of navigation, accordions and the enquiry form, with a visible focus indicator.
- Form labels, hints and error messages that are programmatically associated with their fields.
- Text and interface colours checked for contrast against the paper and ink palette.
- Descriptive alternative text on imagery, with decorative marks hidden from assistive technology.
- Layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling at 200% zoom and at small viewport widths.
- Motion reduced to near-zero when the operating system requests reduced motion.
